What to Do With a Sloped Ceiling
A sloped ceiling takes away the one thing a bathroom needs most, which is headroom, so the rule is simple: put the things you use sitting or lying down under the low side, and the things you use standing up under the high side. Here, that means the tub goes in the niche and the shower goes where you can stand straight.
After that it’s about light. Dark tile in a small room only works if the light has somewhere to bounce, which is why the wainscot is white and the glass is frameless rather than framed or frosted. The brick does the opposite job: it keeps a black-and-white room from feeling clinical, and in a space this size one warm surface is enough.
